The software is based on SMTP and supports a redundant mail server configuration for increased reliability. You can configure SqlAnswersMail to use one mail server as a primary server and another mail server as a backup server. If the primary server isnt available, SqlAnswersMail attempts to deliver mail to the backup server. SqlAnswersMail supports the generation of attachments directly from SQL statements. SqlAnswersMail also extends the functionality of xp_sendmail with support for PDF-based or HTML-based messages and attachments. SqlAnswersMail is completely safe for operations of your SQL Server. The solution consists of a stored procedure and a COM EXE that runs out-of-process and doesnt interfere with the inner workings of the SQL Server.
