It serves the investigation of cities, communities and residential places, their zip codes, telephone preselections, coordinates and community-keys, the hierachical order, car licence flags as well as the matching topographical maps. It supports conversions between different coordinate systems and the distance calculation between the towns and places. The results are represented in graphic overviews. The program ORTWIN works with Gau?-Kr?ger coordinates and geographical coordinates, that itself on the Potsdam date (DHDN, Bessel ellipsoid with central point Rauenberg) covers and with UTM coordinates, that itself on the date ETRS89 (GRS80 / WGS84) covers.
