Description: I made this program because starting with Windows XP, the wonderful folks at Microsoft decided to not search in all files for the text you specify just to save time. They assumed you only wanted to search in certain files like Word & Excel files. I even had problems finding text in HTML files. I did find a registry fix for this but it only works on some extensions. Plus the fix only works on your local computer, not networked drives, where all my programs are. All they had to do was give you an option to search in all files. You can run the 'FindTextInFilesAdd.reg' file in the c:\program files\findtextinfiles directory to be able to right-click on a folder and launch FindTextInFiles. That way it automatically fills in the folder you want to search. You may remove it by running the 'FindTextInFilesDelete.reg' file in the c:\program files\findtextinfiles directory.

New addition: right click on the filename for options (open file, open file in Notepad, open containing folder, or open file in FindTextInFiles which shows you where your search string was found.
With this 1.1 Version, you can print your results and find files that do not contain the text string specified.

Newly Added: The number of times the text string occurs has been added.
You may now replace a text string with another text string. This has only been tested on text (ascii) files.
I do not accept any responsibility for anything that may happen to files on which this program is run.
